andrew - company owner
Andrew established the company (previously named Baytree) in 2008, rebranding as Andamar in 2014. Having always had an interest in gardening, Andrew decided to study Horticulture at Sparsholt College, Winchester in 2007, whilst gaining further experience by volunteering at the world-famous Sir Harold Hillier Gardens in Romsey. Andrew is involved in all aspects of the business, but his focus is on garden design and landscaping. He has a sympathetic eye, keen attention to detail and is passionate about creating beautiful outdoor spaces.
Andrew also enjoys tinkering with motorbikes and watching his 3 children play their various sports.
mike - maintenance team
Mike is a valued member of the maintenance team and there are no jobs out of his comfort zone. He has worked in gardens for a variety of different companies for the last 32 years. Mike likes the fact that every day at Andamar is different and values the feeling that something tangible is achieved each day.
Away from work Mike is interested in natural history and enjoys keeping tropical fish.
mark - maintenance manager
Mark previously worked as a restaurant manager and whilst he had always enjoyed gardening for himself and family members, he had never found the right time to move into gardening as a profession. He joined Andamar in 2014 and has never looked back. As Maintenance Manager, Mark’s role involves quoting for new jobs, organising current jobs and carrying out the work with the rest of his maintenance team. His favourite part of his job is the true satisfaction of going into an unloved garden and helping to transform it for the customer.
When not working Mark loves walking, kayaking and spending time away in his caravan.
kevin - maintenance team
Having worked in the industry for the last 28 years, Kevin is an integral part of Andamar’s maintenance team. Kevin’s previous roles varied from working in small private gardens to grass cutting for the local council. Kevin enjoys knowing that the work he does with Andamar makes a difference to someone’s day, be it large or small
Outside of work Kevin likes going to social events, going out for a Sunday lunch and walking along the beach.
tim - maintenance team
Tim is a senior team leader for Andamar. At the tender age of 16, Tim started an apprenticeship at the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens in Romsey, where he stayed for 4 years. Next he worked as a groundsman for the local council, then spent 13 years in retail for a leading garden centre group. Before he came to Andamar, Tim was Nursery Manager for the largest landscaping company in Hampshire. Needless to say, his vast wealth of knowledge and experience means Tim is involved in all aspects of garden maintenance.
Tim enjoys walking his dog, visiting seaside resorts and listening to music from the 60-80s.

nicky - maintenance team
Nicky had worked her whole life in retail, only to be made redundant when the pandemic struck. In 2020, Nicky’s husband Mark asked her to work with him at Andamar for a couple of weeks, just to help keep her focused. Time has flown by and Nicky is now a fully fledged member of the maintenance team. According to Nicky, if you’d asked her before if she’d ever be gardening as a job, she would have laughed! But now she can’t imagine doing anything else and says she feels fitter and healthier than ever.
Outside of work Nicky likes walking, going for weekends away in the caravan and spending time with her granddaughter.
